Activate Your Stern Account
All Stern users can use their Stern netid and password on the SCRC facilities. You first need to go to
if you haven’t already, and activate your Stern account. You can then login (via ssh) to rnd.stern.nyu.edu or vleda.stern.nyu.edu. Your home directory will automatically be created for you. After that, you can use the facilities. Please note, this applies to using our interactive or grid computing facilities, all of which use linux. It is assumed you have some knowledge of linux or unix. If you have a collaborator from another institution, your departmental coordinator can get then an NYU netid and a sternid.
This does not apply to users of our cloud computing who have windows machines.
